Kigali — The Burundian football federation have approached Cecafa with a bid to host the next edition of Cecafa/Kagame Cup club championship next January.
According to a source at Cecafa, the Burundian federation approached the regional body with the view of hosting the next edition.
The regional club championship is held usually in January with the local champions in the region pitted against each other.
However, this year's edition was pushed to July due to the on going World/African cup qualifiers and the withdrawal of Sudan to host the championship at the last minute.
