Luanda — Angolan singer Alberto Teta Lando died of cancer on Monday, at a health unit of Paris, France, where he had been hospitalised for some time, ANGOP learnt.
According to the deputy chairperson of the National Artists and Composers Union (UNAC), Belmiro Carlos, who confirmed the fact to ANGOP, the death occurred late afternoon.
Born in Mbanza Congo, northern Zaire province, Alberto Teta Lando served since 2006 as UNAC's chairperson, after his return from Paris, where he lived for many years.
