Sierra Leone: Koroma Lauds West African Insurance Institute

President Ernest Bai Koroma last Friday lauded the efforts of the West African Insurance Institute (WAII ) for attaining academic distinction as it continues to attract many students in the sub-region.

Speaking at the 29th graduation ceremony of the institute at the Jerma Beach Hotel in Kololi, The Gambia, Koroma observed that the institute has acquired the record of graduating over 3,000 students including insurance industry leaders.

"It is legend that some of the noteworthy graduates are now national public figures as ministers of government and others are yet presidents of their nations," he said.

Addressing the graduates, Koroma said as they venture into the world, they are about to enter into the world to assume new responsibilities, face new challenges and the complexities of the insurance industry.

"The grandness of attending this institute carries a great responsibility to use your knowledge and training for improving the lives of others in your respective countries," he said.

Koroma implored the graduants to endeavour to give their best so as to leave a mark while serving their countries.
