Rwanda: Div. 2 Reach Defining Moment

Kigali — La Jeunesse will be in action today in their final match of group a when they visit Nyanza as the second division league group stage reach its climax.

The youthful side made sure of their place in the quarter-final with 4-2 victory over rivals Amagaju on Sunday in Gikongoro.

Goals from Attoine Kakure (2), Jean Demur Uwimana (38, 63) and Didier Mudeyi (76) gave the Nyamirambo based outfit a deserved win. Valence Ntakirutimana (84) and Serieux Mudege scored for the hosts.

Today, Nyanza on 26 points will need to win their final group game at home to La Jeunesse to be assured of fourth spot in the group to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Anything less than maximum points will see Stella Maris, who have 29 points the remaining ticket to the last eight.
