Luanda — The Angolan National Fuel Society (Sonangol) on Tuesday in Luanda's International Trade Fair (FIL 2008) carried out a high-tech laser display of its products and activities, such as research, production and supply of oil, with the aim of attracting the visitors to the company's exhibition stand.
According to Sonangol's press and publicity office director João Rosa Santos, the company is participating in the 25th edition of FIL with the awareness that it is committed to the development of Angola, in the country's various areas and stages.
He explained that the laser show presented by the firm is aimed at attracting youths and other interested people visiting the FIL, as that they can get better information on the company's activities, whose chief mission is to work for the country to reach considerable levels of crude-oil production, as well as for the well-being of the people.
FIL/2008 counts on the participation of 550 exhibitors, from Angola and abroad, with highlight to countries such as Egypt, Zimbabwe, Singapore and the Philippines, whose countries are represented in this event for the first time. The exhibition is taking place in a space of 26,000 square metres, comprising five pavilions and adjacent areas of the venue.
There is also outstanding participations from countries like Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Germany, Italy, China, South Africa, Namibia, Ghana, Uruguay and Holland.
Several areas of activity are represented in this event, such as civil engineering, information technologies, banks, light and heavy industry, beverages, foodstuffs, energy and gas, machinery, car industry, insurance, real estate, clothing and footwear.
This year, the fair has as innovation the free entrance for secondary and university level students, provided they show the school card, aimed at putting them in touch with the capital market, through the country's Stock Market.
