Mbanza Kongo — The government of the north-western Zaire province felt this Wednesday in Mbanza Kongo city, consternated over the death of the Angolan musician and composer Alberto Teta Lando, occurred last Monday in Paris, France.
In a message of condolences released to Angop, the government refers that "it was painful and depressing that we learnt about the death of the Angolan eminent musician, a son of this homeland, who since the 60s joined the list of the main artists of the Angolan music".
The message underlines that he was elected two years ago, as the chairperson of the National Union for Artists and Composers (Unac).
The provincial government message ends by addressing to the mourning family and to UNAC its most felt condolences for his death.
Alberto Pedro Teta Lando was born in Mbanza Kongo in north-western Zaire province and released various albums such as Independência, Reunir and "Memorias" repertoire from 1968 to 1990.
