Kampala — Warid Telecom has launched a promotion dubbed "Mega Bonus" in which all subscribers can make free calls all day. The company which launched in Uganda in 2007 claims it has 650,000 subscribers.
What customers have to do is load airtime and make free calls the next day.
"The Mega Bonus promotion is a reward to our customers for joining WARID and for them to experience our high quality network," Zul Javaid, WARID's chief executive officer, said.
Javaid said the one month promotion, which started on July 16, would not interfere with the quality of the network since the company had superior network systems.
"We offer more innovative prices than our competitors. That's why we want to attract more Ugandans to WARID."
The promotion is open to all customers regardless of the amount they load on to their mobile phones.
