Nigeria: Street Urchins Stall CBN Building Project in Lagos

Lagos — Street urchins, popularly called 'Area boys', have stalled the proposed Central Bank of Nigeria building project in the Lagos Island Central Business District (CBD).

The Chairman of Interstate Architects Limited, Otunba F.A. Adeshina, who disclosed this on Tuesday at the palace of his royal majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, said the so called 'Area boys' were demanding gratification from the contractors as a prerequisite to the building project.
