The Angolan Foreign Affairs minister, João Bernardo de Miranda, left last Wednesday evening for Brazil, in the framework of his tour of four south American countries.

In Brazil, the last stage of his diplomatic trip, João Miranda is to discuss with the local authorities issues linked to south-south relations increase, having into account the complementariness of the Brazilian and Angolan economies.

The Angolan politician will also discuss with the Brazilian Foreign minister, Celson Amorim, matters related to the South Atlantic Peace and Cooperation Zone and its expansion to other Latin American states located on the coast of the same ocean, as well as the implementation of Luanda's Action Programme.

The ministerial delegation comprises, among other officials, the directors for Bilateral and America Co-operation, Mário Canário and Balbina Dias da Silva, respectively, as well as the counsellor minister, Osvaldo Varela.
