The adviser said the exercise which begins with the demolition of structures on Douglas Road in Owerri would stretch to Tetilow, Royce, Okigwe, Egbu, MCC, Ikenegbu, Wethewral and Mbaise roads. Other affected roads according the adviser include World Bank, Nwe Owerri, Onithsa road, Christ Church, School, Imsu, Orlu, Ama Hausa, Concord, Lagos street, Mbari, Nwaturuocha street down to Chukwuma Nwoha street.

The governor's aide said that the exercise would be extended to all the 27 local government councils in the state, adding that already, the exercise has commenced both in Okigwe and Orlu.

Amadi appealed to all, especially those to be affected by the exercise to urgently comply by removing their illegal structures before the visit of officials of the state Environmental and Transformation Committee (ENTRACO). He said the committee was prepared to give the grace of one or two days for owners of the illegal structures to remove them and after which ENTRACO would come and do their job. He however warned that any one who fails to comply with the directive would have himself to blame as the committee would not hesitate to pull down any illegal structure.
