Angola: Cunene - Workshop On Editing Techniques Ends Today

Ondjiva — The workshop on the improvement of editing techniques, designed for journalists and correspondents of the provincial delegation of the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) in south-western Cunene province, which is happening since July 14, ends this Friday.

The upgrading course, promoted by ANGOP's management board, with consent of the Social Communication Ministry, aims at equipping the participants with basic tools for the increase of the volume and context of news, for the rendering of a public information service with more quality.

Being lectured by the sub-editor of ANGOP's Sports Desk, Geraldo Quiala, the course has already enabled to train professionals of the only press agency in the country on the basic elements necessary for the consolidation and improvement of editing techniques, for the coverage of the legislative elections of next September 05.

During the course, the participants discussed about matters such as the identification of the main journalism errors made in the elaboration of news, planning, guidelines, and preparation of a news agenda, personal initiative, as well as the basic knowledge for journalism practicing.
