Ge — UíAngolan deputy Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, said Friday in northern Uige province that the health situation of local residents has improved, with construction and rehabilitation of new hospitals and health centres funded by the Government.
José Van-Dúnem, who made these statements at the end of the three-day working visit to the northern region, said the progress is also attributable to the rehabilitation of roads, which enable the access to the health units.
Improved were also the regular supply of medicines to hospitals and health centres, as well as the laboratory services, stressed the deputy minister, who announced the arrival, soon, in the province, of Cuban doctors, to team up with local professionals.
During his visit, the Health official, accompanied by officials of his sector, met with local governor, António Bento Cangulo and visited he districts of Mucaba and Damba, where he assessed the state of existing infrastructures.
