Angola's National Electoral Commission (CNE) Friday in Luanda adopted the criteria of equality in the allocation of financial resources to political parties for their electoral campaigns.

This was said by CNE spokesperson, Adão de Almeida, at the end of a plenary session of the organ.

He added that the fund estimated at about Akz 1.2 billion (1 Usd is Akz 7.00) was recently approved by the Cabinet Council and will be fairly allocated to the political parties whose candidatures happen to be approved by the Constitutional Court.

The official said as well that a set of criteria has been proposed as to how the fund should be used. The criteria include the opening of a bank account, as stipulated by the Electoral Law and a CNE dispatch to the Finance Ministry.

The decision includes the need for the political parties to appoint an electoral administrator that will be in charge of managing the fund.

On the other hand, the CNE plenary session analysed the proposal from the Inter-ministerial Commission for Electoral Process (CIPE) on the mapping of the voting assemblies, in line with the official results of the joint work with CNE.
