Angola: Portuguese Navy School Ship Moors in Luanda

Luanda — A navy school ship from Portugal named "Sagres" moored at Luanda Naval Base, as part of a sailing instruction trip to some countries.

The ship has on board 210 cadets of various nationalities, students at Portugal Naval Base school that includes two Angolans from the country's Navy.

The ship commander will have a courtesy meeting with Defence minister Kundi Paihama, Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) staff chief, general Francisco Furtado, as well as with Angolan Navy chief, Admiral Augusto da Silva Cunha.

A press conference is scheduled for Monday with the ship's commander.

The ship leaves Luanda on Thursday (24) heading for Lobito Sea Port, in the centre-west Benguela Province.
