Kilimeru thumped Olyset to secure their place in the finals in the Swamibapa Players Cricket Trophy on Sunday, July 13.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, Kilimeru had the runs going, but wickets too fell fast due to some good bowling by Sailesh and Dhiran. Within the first six overs, Olyset had 4 scalps in their bag, but then an 83 run partnership between Hassanain (30 runs) and Hameed (52 runs) helped Kilimeru cruise through.

Kilimeru achieved their 4 points in the 19th over, and finished off with a score of 155 runs. Set a target of 156, Olyset were going well upto the 6th over, when they were 32 for 2, but some good fielding and catching by Kilimeru put the stopper on, and soon had them lagging behind on the run chase.

There was some good bowling by Sajjad Sajana nd Mohamedali Gangji, the youngsters of Kilimeru. Between them they bowled 7 overs, taking 2 wickets for 36 runs. Talib Chagani was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 16 in 4 overs. Olyset were finally bundled out for 97 in the 19th over.
