Brazilian physical trainer for Taifa Stars Itamar Amorim who last month declined to renew his contact with the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), has made a U-turn.

Amorim's coaching partner Marcio Maximo announced his compatriot's comeback for the national team yesterday.

Maximo who was in Rio de Janeiro for a month-long holiday, said Amorim has revised his decision after consultation.

Maximo said Amorim has now solved his family problems and will be back to work with him under the extended one-year contract.

Maximo assured the soccer federation of Amorim's return and advised not to look for a replacement.

In related development, Maximo said he would now give young players top priorities in the national soccer team, Taifa Stars.

The Brazilian trainer who has agreed to extend his contract for at least a year, said he is impressed by decision taken by Dar es Salaam's top flight sides of Yanga and Simba for fielding youth players in the ongoing Kagame Cup championship.

Maximo is of the opinion that Tanzania top flight clubs are in the transformation process with possible success should they maintain the trend.

While congratulating Yanga and Simba for adopting the changes, he said Taifa Stars would be full of young blood in the remaining African Nations/World Cup qualifiers.

The Brazilian coach said he has come up with a new approach to help young players secure opportunities for green pastures abroad through the national team exposure.

Maximo congratulated the Copa Coca-Cola under 17 squad that performed well in the international competition in Brazil a fortnight ago.
