The Gambia Football Association has written world football governing body FIFA informing them of the alleged threat to harm the Scorpions contingent in Algeria.

Scorpions striker Ousman Jallow claimed Algerian defenders, Anther Yahia and Samir Zaoui, threatened to attack him personally and the hotel where the Scorpions will lodge when they travel to Algeria for the return leg of the joint World and Nations Cup qualifiers.

"They held my neck and told me that they are terrorist and that they will would attack our hotel when we go to Algeria", Jallow was reported as saying after the Scorpions 1-0 win over the Algerians in which the Middle East player was very instrumental. "The GFA should help us with good security because I know them and they are capable of doing anything", he added.

And as it appears the Gambia Football Association is not taking the threats lightly as a mere psychological tactic to the Scorpions and especially Jallow. They have written FIFA informing them their concerns.

"Our player Ousman Jallow was confronted during the match by two Algerian players wearing numbers 17 and 4 who threatened to bomb our hotel during the return match this weekend. These players labeled themselves as terrorist swearing to kill Ousman Jallow and members of the Gambia delegation. As a National Association, we would not want to take this threat lightly since player No 17 and was quoted as saying you know we are terrorist."

The GFA want FIFA to put in place precautionary measures to avert any such of situation happening or harming the Gambian team and its accompanying delegation.
