BRAVE Warriors team manager Tim Isaacs says the 3-0 win against Comoros Islands on Sunday was a good motivational boost for the players ahead of their match against Lesotho today.
The Warriors are competing in the Cosafa Senior Challenge Cup currently underway in South Africa's Mpumalanga province.
Isaacs told The Namibian Sport telephonically from South Africa that the players were upbeat and were looking forward to beat low-ranked Lesotho after goals from Lazarus Kaimbi (1) and Quinton Jacobs (2), inspired Namibia to their first win at the tournament.
Isaacs said striker Costa Khaiseb and midfielder Brian Brendell will both be rested for today's match as they are nursing ankle injuries, but that should not deter the team to do well against their next opponents.
"We are looking forward to beating Lesotho and moving on to win against Malawi on Thursday.
The injuries worries of the two players will not necessarily affect the team as we have enough players to play in those roles," he said.
If Namibia beat both Lesotho and Malawi in Group B, they will face South Africa on Saturday, with a further win against Bafana Bafana ensuring them a place in the semi-finals of the event.
