Angola: Musician Teta Lando's Remains in Luanda

The remains of renowned Angolan singer/songwriter Alberto Teta Lando, who passed away last week on July 14, in Paris (France), victim of cancer, have arrived this Tuesday in the country.

According to the programme of the funeral ceremony, the casket containing the remains shall be taken to his residence in Maianga district where it will remain until 05p.m and then taken to Cidadela Stadium's main pavilion, in Luanda, where it will be in the mourning chamber until Wednesday at 01p.m.

The official honouring ceremony shall happen on Wednesday morning. The funeral will take place at "Altos das Cruzes" Cemetery, in Luanda.

Born in Mbanza Kongo, capital of northern Zaire province, in 1948, Alberto Teta Lando held the post of chairman of UNAC since 2006.
