Angola: Huila - Minister Satisfied With Construction Works

Lubango

Angola's Public Works Minister, Higino Carneiro, on Tuesday expressed satisfaction at the execution level of the works of the new football stadium and rehabilitation of 122 kilometres of Lubango/Gambos road, in southern Huila province, Angop has learnt.

The Cabinet official, who was speaking to press at the end of a two-day visit to Huila province, said he is touched with the pace of the works and he believes that it will be ready on the scheduled time.

Higino Carneiro considered as positive the way the firm SynoHidro has been building Tchioco compound football stadium. "I believe that until the end of September important steps will be done towards its conclusion", he said.

Commenting on Lubango/Gambos road, the Public Works minister said that the mentioned building company has already repaired 35 out of the 122 kilometres of road. The works started last November and are due to finish in April 2009 and worth USD 127 million.
