The MNET Idols talent search produced yet another shock after Trinah Chisanga - the clear favourite to win - was bundled out of the reality TV show last night having received the least votes of the three remaining contestants.
In the tense show aired from Bomas of Kenya by MNET channel, Zimbabwe's Eric Moyo was the first of the to be sent to safety leaving the public guessing whom between Zambia's Trinah and Uganda's Nicolette Kiiga would leave the show.
Given Trinah's strong performance from the beginning, she was a perfect bet for the finals. Asked whom they fancied for the top two slots at last Saturday's show, all the three judges were in agreement that it would be Trinah and Eric with Nicolette to be voted out.
However, the contestants' fate lied with voters across the seven East and Central African countries.

The final show of the four-month long talent search will be held on Saturday. The winner bags Sh5.6 million cash and a recording deal.
