Kampala — NICHOLAS Kiprono had a one-man show as he took his first international title by winning the Marvejols Mende Half Marathon in France on Sunday afternoon.
The national record holder who initially shared the lead with Uganda's Martin Toroitich and Ethiopian Dereje Debele Tulu before winning in one hour 11 minutes 26 seconds.
Kiprono was 11 seconds off his national record he set in Italy three years back.
Toroitich settled for third place.
* The start list for the National Athletics Championships due at Namboole on Friday and Saturday will be finalised today. The MTN-sponsored event is the last event on the local athletics calendar.
