Namibia: Cop Faces Shoplifting Charge

A police officer accused of stealing a blanket worth N$200 from a local shop briefly appeared in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Ddahambelala Penge Shikongo (36) was arrested on Friday after she allegedly left Pep Stores without paying for the blanket.

At her first court appearance, Shikongo was not asked to plead.

Her case was postponed until August 11 for further Police investigation.

She remains free on warning.
