Windhoek — A teaching material donation of N$58 000 is to be handed over by the Windhoek Rotary Club to the Marti Ahtisaari Primary School in Katutura this morning.
The purchase of teaching materials was made possible by an annual donation from the Rotary Club Pasila in Frederiksberg, Finland, the Rotary Foundation and local facilitation by the Rotary Club Windhoek (RCW).
"Specifically the learners of grades 1 to 4 are targeted in this project.
Both learners and teachers now have access to valuable teaching materials that could not be purchased by the school because of limited resources.
The materials will stimulate the learning process and contribute towards improving the performance of learners," said the school principal Hermanus Bock.
The teaching materials include workbooks, posters, text books, educational games, puzzles and sports gear.
