Angola: Welfare Minister Expected in Huambo Province

Huambo

The minister of Assistance and Social Welfare, João Baptista Kussumua is expected on Thursday, here, to attend the ceremony of entrusting construction and rehabilitation works of social infrastructures in some wards of Huambo district.

According to the programme, delivered to ANGOP, the home for the handicapped of Jongolo-Ndango ward shall be rehabilitated and another for the aged shall be built in Casseque III locality, in this central plateau region of Angola.

During his stay in Huambo, the government official will also attend the ceremony of entrusting the construction works of the Regional Sheltering, Education and Social Reinsertion Centre for children and adolescents in Kambiote.

The provincial department of the Social Welfare Ministry controls two centres, one for the aged in Chivela ward and another for the handicapped in Ndango locality.
