Angola: Kwanza Norte - Governor Inaugurates Sanitary Units

Ndalatando — The population of the northern Kwanza Norte Province, which is estimated at 654,000 inhabitants, last Tuesday were granted a municipal hospital and two medical posts.

The mentioned infrastructures were inaugurated by the provincial governor, Henrique André Júnior, in the framework of the programme for improving and increasing people's basic social services.

It is the Lucala district Hospital, estimated at over 58 million kwanzas (USD 01=75 kwanzas), Luinga and Mussabo medical posts in Ambaca and Samba Caju municipalities respectively, both totalling 7.860 million kwanzas.

In the occasion, the official also inaugurated the Samba Caju/Mussabo/Luinga road, whose rebuilding has cost over 87 million kwanzas.

The provincial governor of Kwanza Norte reaffirmed to the press the Angolan government's disposition to continue repairing and building public infrastructures in order to respond to the needs of the population throughout the province.

The inaugurations were attended by the first provincial secretary of the ruling MPLA party in Kwanza Norte, Daniel António, as well as by other guests.
