The Angolan artists on Wednesday expressed the wish to see written with "golden letters" the contribution of the late singer Teta Lando in the development and cultural affirmation of the country before other cultures.

It was expressed at the funereal eulogy read by musician Massano Júnior shortly before the burial of Teta Landos' remains at Luanda's Alto das Cruzes cemetery.

Speaking on behalf of all national artists, Massano Júnior said that Teta Lando's life can many times be confused with the fight of Angolan artists for the restoration and consolidation of the Angolan culture values.

"Um Assobio Meu, Kimbemba, Tata Nkento, Ntoyo, Independência and Reunir are some works in which the author expresses the desire of progress and harmony among Angolans, said singer Mário Gama. Before the burial ceremony, the musician was paid homage this morning, in an activity held at Luanda's Cidadela pavilion, that has the presence of the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, artists, politicians, MPs, members of the Angolan Army and National Police.
