Kampala — Uganda had a good day out in Denmark on Tuesday with the Kampala Kids League (KKL) and Uganda Youth Soccer Academy (UYSA) winning their qualifying games.
KKL beat Swedish Academy team Trelleborgs FF 2-0 to go top of group C1 with maximum six points from two games. Dennis Guma broke the deadlock with a powerful header off a corner kick and Rasuli Mpagi wrapped up things in the last 10 minutes with a low drive from 20 metres.
UYSA came from a goal down at half time to beat Farum Academy with goals from Earnest Luboobi, Benjamin Mwesigye and a hat-trick from talented youngster Andrew Okiring, son of FUFA presidential aspirant Patrick Isiagi.
UYSA took a break on Wednesday as their would-be opponents in Group E2, FC Kronijylland from Denmark, failed to turn up for the tournament. UYSA is likely to get a walk over and automatic qualification to the semi-finals set for Friday.
