Angola's Public Television (TPA) will inaugurate this Thursday, in Lisbon (Portugal), its international channel, under a governmental strategy for the social communication, meant to expand its broadcasting programme abroad, ANGOP has learnt.

Dubbed "Canal Internacional" it is intended for TPA's internationalisation and raise it to a status of a television of reference in Africa and the worldwide. In a first stage, it will be only available for the European continent, afterwards it will be extended to other parts of the world.

Its implementation will enable a greater diffusion of information relating to Angola, for the national communities in the diaspora, mainly the country's political, economic, social and cultural development.

AllAfrica aggregates and indexes content from over 125 African news organizations, plus more than 200 other sources, who are responsible for their own reporting and views. Articles and commentaries that identify allAfrica.com as the publisher are produced or commissioned by AllAfrica.
