Uganda: Iranian 'Aids-Drug' Maker Silent in Court

Kampala — An Iranian national accused of allegedly manufacturing drugs purported to cure Aids yesterday decided to remain silent in his defense.

Elahi Alagholi is facing charges of manufacturing drugs and dispensing them with-out a license from the national drug authority which is mandated to license drug dealers.

Prosecution alleges that on 21 and 25 April 2005 and 2006 at Naguru Katalemwa road.

Elahi manufactured comein 1, 2 and 3, the drugs he purported to cure Aids and supplied them to different pharmacies.

The presiding chief magistrate of Buganda road court Margaret Tibulya has given 11th August this year as the date for final submissions for judgment to take place.
