Abdullahi Keni Saint-George

Change, as they say, is about the only constant in creation. It may materialise in the form of adversity or elation, hope or hopelessness, fortune or misfortune.

But change marches on oblivious to the artificial, vain, 'concrete certainties' mortals fabricate in a world of impermanence. That is the essence of the Barack Obama's epiphany.

Transformational changes, exemplified by Obama in the politics of the post-Cold War United States is never predicted but merely incubates and then materialises or manifests and chances upon our common humanity. Unsuspectingly, to bedazzle the firmament, like a shooting star and mortals swept along in an odyssey of breathlessness, an elixir of freshness that inspires and releases pent-up energies and dreams which unite protagonists and set ablaze floods of possibilities that transform, positively, the social fabric and environment of nation-states.

Nigeria must not be left out of this wind of change, but must succumb to a peaceful revolution: this Obama's revolution. Obama is that change, that audacious change.

His country, the great United States of America and by extension, the world must grasp this opportunity and vote him President of America. "The future does not belong to those who are content with today... timid and fearful in the face of bold projects and new ideas", according to J. F. Kennedy.

This change was discernible during the era of chairman Mao's Long March, when a whole backward but creative Chinese, metamorphosed, through the sheer, electric magnetism and mesmerising vision of one single man, MAO, into a dynamo. Now the Peoples Republic of China, which is now a global super power in the number of armed combat troops, armament superiority, nuclear parity, industrialised armament production and self sufficient and sheer industrial revolution that is capturing world trade.

Of course, all these have been achieved through an unfortunate trade-off - industrial, environmental pollution which now threatens global environmental harmony and unleashing CLIMATE CHANGE and global WARMING which threaten the very existence of life on this fragile planet earth.

I sincerely believe that that phenomenon called OBAMA will duly sign the Kyoto Protocol on the restriction of industrial pollution and checking of CFC and other ozone-gobbling, dangerous gases of which America is the chief culprit.

I quite vividly remember when I was a teenager, only 16, at my native Ozuloke compound, Ihiala Local Government of Anambra State, Nigeria, when my Daddy, Chief George Ozuloke, a circuit Court Judge in the old Onitsha province, came back to announce the assassination of a white Prince and President of the United States of America… J. F. Kennedy, 1963. The Kennedy's are America's Royal family. Simultaneously, as if choreographed, we all burst out crying and wailing. On a sober reflection, why on earth did we grieve over the death of a white Prince…J. F. Kennedy that we hardly knew? What spiritual empathy provoked such outpouring of grief about a white man in a far distant land, USA? The answers lay with the sheer electric magnetism and spiritual dynamics, almost saintly, the sort that Kennedy was made of. The same thing as Dr. Martin Luther King. For they were twin Shooting Stars or agents of profound change, that mesmerised the firmament at the same time and like Shooting Stars that they were, they became and dissipated or evaporated the same way…brilliant, dynamic, overtly spiritual, inspiring, humane, visionary, lovers of racial equality and the ability to identify and support the underdog, the under privileged, pious, godly and politically correct in the eyes of God. They were men of rare genius, overwhelmingly intelligent, conspicuously eloquent with the sheer audacity of oratorical propensity. They were of course assassinated.

There is now a third Shooting Star, Barack Obama, who is now sweeping through the heartlands of rural and urban America like a Tornado, capturing young-at-hearts, teenagers, men and women, blacks, whites and Hispanics, Muslims, Christians and Jews, Buddhists and Hare Krsners in equal measure and rewriting the age old unscripted edict… "that only male ANGLO-SAXONS with blue eyes, blond hair, white skin and of Protestant religion could be admitted to become the President of United States of America". By an unfortunate coincidence, it was the same edict that motivated Adolf Hitler of Nazi Germany to want to conquer the world, sparing only the Aryan race (white race) and in the process gassing six million Jews, Gypsies, mental patients and Socialists during the 2nd World War. This is the hob of Obama's Revolution. When this racist ethos is smashed, then America would have initiated a moral, charm offensive that the world cannot resist. Obama will move America the next level. Intellectuals and analysts, please take notice.

It is indeed always exciting to be a part of living history rather than major at it afterwards. We are living in such glorious times and, I say glorious because of the momentum and energy that always accompany CHANGE. It must blow into Nigeria and OASIS wants to champion that Change. The white racists and supremacists in America must not touch one single hair of Barack Obama, the future President of America or hell will oblige, literally. To hate a lovely good man because of his skin tone is to hate God and by the same yard stick, the Pastor of Obama's church spat pure evil for hating whites. Obama is half black and half white. The question then is, which side hates him and which side loves him. The side that hates him is genetically and morally deformed.

The world is already witnessing the fruit of Obama's Change. That the guerilla Army of the oil rich Niger Delta, Nigeria's economic heart beat, to contemplate going for a truce with the Nigerian Army is surely note worthy. Just because Obama told them to cool it. And now Hamas of Palestine may be extending an olive branch to Obama and such happenings may seem trivial and you regard them as such, at your peril. For America to go from the most hated Nation on Earth to one whose perceived President is being idolized is certainly a revolution in favour of America. And the amazing thing is that he had not won the Democrat's nomination at the time of those sentiments, let alone the White House, which I think he will attain. You can all see that my old friend, the very fragile McCain, the Republican Candidate, pales into insignificance and will just continue George Bush's blood letting in the poor Third World. I wonder how many body bags come home to America every month from Iraq and Afghanistan.Do I hear an ovation for Obama and a sigh of relief and a tumultuous applause for these encomiums, coming from the so called 'TERRORISTS'? They are not Terrorists, Hamas. They are fighting a Nazi onslaught. They are Freedom fighters. This is just my own opinion. Is peace not what the world prays for?

Obama, son, don't let Africa die and I am not talking about you giving us billions of Dollars, which will be stolen by our Rulers. No. Just assist us, Africans and Nigeria's 140 million economic slaves and refugees, with your Solomonic judgment and moral support for OASIS to sow the seed of SPIRITUAL, SOCIALIST and ENVIRONMENTAL, REVOLUTIONARY CHANGE in Nigeria. We are talking about Nigeria, my beloved country, 6th richest country in the world potentially and sadly 13th poorest; a country where its inhabitants have been reduced to the status of refugees; a country where trillions of Dollars have been generated since the past 30 years (crude oil) and yet we are still in darkness, no electricity, thanks to the Nigerian thieves and Lebanese and foreign Mafia, who blew up kainji dam around 2001 and celebrated. These guys could even have our top echelon in NEPA under their Payroll in order to sabotage our electricity supply. It is not far fetched. The Lebanese and Chinese control the generator import to Nigeria. Now, don't accuse me of Xenophobia (Fear and Loathing of Foreigners in our midst). I am simply not. My country is under attack from all angles. I want to start a revolution to stop it. Citizens may take the law into their hands if the Presidency, IG of Police and Senate and the House do not shine their torch into the activities of the Lebanese, Indians and Chinese in Nigeria as far as power supply is concerned... before we crucify Obasanjo alone for nothing. We have no roads, we have no water, the Health sector is a holocaust; a country where the leaders… Some Ministers, some past Presidents (not our new, current President, His Excellency, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, for he is a godly man), some State Governors, even some lawmakers, some Local Government Chairmen, have all shared a huge bounty of over one trillion dollars, which they transfer to their London and European secret accounts and cruise around in Hummer and Nissan Armada Jeeps, while the nation is sliding backwards into what could end up in a guerilla warfare in the most populated black nation on earth. I totally abhor blood letting. Show me where there is guerilla warfare in Africa and I can point out some feudalistic, slave masters there.

Calamity beckons. Will Your Excellency, President Obama, come to Nigeria with your shooting party looking for Al-Qaeda? These bad leaders are gradually invoking the spirit of Al-Qaeda through their nefarious deeds. If you don't step in soon, Nigeria will break up although OASIS will prevail and hold our Black nation together with a trade-off, where about one thousand satanic majesties that enslave us, will have to go for 10 years forced holidays abroad (to reunite them with their trillions of looted Naira. These guys are not Nigerians), while OASIS and certain progressive patriots like our Legal Eagle, Gani Fawehinmi (Senior Advocate of Nigeria). Gani, you are not dying yet for we have work to do, our Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, Nnam Chinua Achebe, Hon. Dimeji Bankole, Speaker of the House of Assembly whose star is rising, Owelle Ndigbo, Rochas Okorocha, whose Public School System the whole country should emulate, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, the Royal radical left politician and a brilliant Intellectual.
