Angola: Six Debutants in Country's Squad for Olympic Games

Six athletes will join for the first time the group of 15 players that will represent Angola's senior female national handball team (African champions), for the Beijing Olympic Games, to take place on 8-24 August.

The debutants are Elizabeth Viegas, Natália Bernardo, Wata Dombaxi, Azenaide Carlos, Elizabeth Cailo, Cristina Branco.

The national coach, Vivaldo Eduardo, summoned the following athletes: Mária Pedro, Cristina Branco and Odete Tavares, Nair Almeida, Luisa Kiala, Teresa Joaquim, Ilda Bengui, Wata Dombaxi, Bombo Calandula and Elizabeth Viegas, Filomena Trindade, Isabel Fernandes, Elizabeth Cailo, Azenaide Carlos and Natália Bernardo.

The Angolan national team are fulfilling their eighth preparation week. At this moment they are in Slovenia, last stage of the training programme, before the Olympic Games that will happen in China's capital city.
