Namibia: Heric Invites Jacobs, Shibanga for Trials

24 July 2008

After impressive performances during the on-going Cosafa tournament in Mpumalanga, Namibian midfielder Quinton Jacobs and striker Paulos Shibanga are set to remain in the country after the tournament, to possibly team up with Bay United for pre-season training.

United coach Vladislav Heric has confirmed with KickOff.com that he has been impressed by both Shibanga and Jacobs, who has already scored two goals during the tournament.

"I had an opportunity to watch them playing and was impressed with what I saw. I intend inviting them for pre-season training and see if they can fit into my plans for the new season."

Another foreigner that has attracted Bay United's attention is Lesotho international Lebajoa Mphongoa was on the books of recently promoted First Division side African Warriors last season.

Heric also confessed that he is a great admirer of former Kaizer Chiefs' defender Cyril Nzama, who is reported to be on his way join the newly promoted 'Watsh'Umlilo' next season.

The Nelson Mandela Bay-based club added that contrary to media speculation they have no interest in former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Ndlovu.
