Two Botswana internationals Boitumelo Mafoko and Joel Mogorosi who were shown the door at Orlando Pirates, face an uncertain future when the Cosafa Cup, currently underway in Mpumalanga, ends.

The two Zebras were booted off the Pirates ship when the Buccaneers decided not to keep them following what CEO Floyd Mbele described as 'gross misconduct'.

"The players were sent back home after it was established that they had carried themselves in a manner that is not acceptable," Mbele told a Botswana paper.

Mafoko and Mogorosi were reported to both have signed three-year contracts that could have seen their former club Township Rollers pick up R1.4-million in transfer money.

"The two players could have secured their future," said a furious Rollers MD Somerset Gobuiwang.

"We understand that they were misled by someone purporting to be an agent, who promised to take them to another team whilst ignoring the legal commitment they had with Pirates.

"It's a sad situation and we are busy consulting with our lawyers on this matter," Gobuiwang told KickOff.com.

The situation now leaves the two Botswana players, who took part in the Phakisa Cup in the Free State recently, in a limbo. They face a possible three years of inactivity if no team buys their contract from Pirates.

Questioned about his action, Mogorosi alleged to the Botswana Voice newspaper that he left Pirates after the team failed to take care of his accommodation and transport needs, to and from training.
