Eritrea: Preparations Finalized for Eritrea Festival 2008 At the National Level

Asmara — The necessary preparations have been finalized to colorfully conduct Eritrea Festival 2008 at the national level, according to Mr. Gideon Fisehaye, head of the holidays coordinating committee's office.

The Festival that would be held at the Expo grounds from August 1 to 10 would feature different cultural shows, folk dances, literary and drama competitions, arts exhibitions, zonal villages, children's programs and bazaar, among others.

Moreover, Mr. Gideon indicated that villages of higher institutions of learning, programs highlighting the reconstruction endeavors being undertaken through national construction companies, works of creativity and innovation, as well as performances by a Chinese cultural troupe, thus making the Festival special than previous ones.

The zonal villages shows are being organized in a manner that reflect the unity in diversity of all the Eritrean nationalities and their noble traditions and customs, he added. Service rendering institutions would also offer efficient service to all those making pilgrimage to the Festival.
