Luanda — The spokesperson of the Episcopal Conference of Angola and Sao Tome and Principe (CEAST), Bishop Maurício Camuto, on Thursday here, highlighted the Constitutional Court (TC) engagement in the decision for the selection of parties for the next September 05 legislative elections.
According to the religious entity who was speaking to Angop, the court was fair and exact in the revision, analysis and selection of candidature files, enabling the voter a possibility of a better choice, without difficulties, taking into account the flux of parties existing in the country.
Bishop Maurício Camuto also said that TC will explain to citizens the Principle of Legality, as many irregularities were noticed in the candidature processes of some political parties, mainly relating to fake identity cards and criminal records.
"There is a need for an intervention of competent organs, in this case of lack of legality by some parties, meant to show the norms and rules of social justice, before the sovereign organs", added the Bishop who called on the political parties to avoid fiery speeches.
