Angola: Luanda Govt Launches U.S. $230 Million Housing Project

A 1,200 homes project, worth USD 230 million will be built this year in Kilamba Kiaxi district, Angop has learnt from Luanda provincial governor, Francisca do Espírito Santo.
The government official said so during a meeting for the presentation of the social housing projects and implementation of the Programme of Improvement and Supply of Basic Services to Population.
In a first stage it will benefit young people that finished their studies and integrated in civil service firms.
According to the governor, this move is a reply to the recommendations by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, for the creation of conditions for this class in the acquisition of residences at low price.
