Uganda: KAVC Meet Gets Boost

KAVC Memorial International volleyball tournament received a sh20 boost from National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

The offer was unveiled by NSSF managing director David Jamwa, in the company of KAVC chairman Dick Muhwezi at Nile Resort Hotel, Jinja on Wednesday.

The two-day regional championship gets underway on Saturday at Lugogo, Namboole and Sharing Centre, Nsambya.

"We are happy to support KAVC because of their mission of ensuring better community health and behaviour through sports," Jamwa remarked.

The annual championship will be marking 38 years of the existence Uganda's oldest side Kampala Amateur Volleyball club. It has drawn eight foreign clubs from Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi and DR Congo.
