British High Commission has the pleasure to announce that with effect from 22 July 2008, it would begin to lift the restrictions on its visa service.

"Our customers will be aware that we were unfortunately forced to implement restrictions on our service due to unavoidable technical problems at the Deputy High Commission in Lagos.

"All categories of visa applications can now be submitted. However, the British High Commission wishes to let its customers know that we are still forced to run a limited service for first time travellers to the UK.

"Those who have not travelled to the UK previously should book an appointment to submit their application at our Commercial Partner's offices (VFS) in Abuja, Lagos, Ikeja or Ibadan. Appointments can be made at www.ukvac-ng.com.

"Those who do not book an appointment may not be able to submit an application at the VFS office. If your trip is not urgent, the British High Commission advises you may wish to wait a few weeks before applying, by then we hope our normal service will be restored".
