Angola: Oma Secretary General Urges Women to Adhere to Literacy Programmes

The secretary general of the ruling MPLA party's women wing (OMA), Luzia Inglês Van-Dúnem "Inga" on Thursday defended in Kuito city (central Bié province) the need for women to adhere to literacy programmes.

The official, who was speaking at the meeting with the society of women was various religions, stressed that the measure also aims at reducing illiteracy amongst women.

Luzia Inglês Van-Dúnem "Inga" affirmed that churches play a very important role in the achievement of good results in women's literacy processes.

OMA's secretary general exhorted women to work towards achieving peace of mind, creating pardoning and harmony, as well as being committed to youths education, foreseeing a good social conduct.

On their turn, women from various religions expressed their delight and promised to seriously work in the literacy programme, in order to increase the academic level amongst their gender, mainly of farmers.
