Leone Stars and former Ports Authority FC striker, Muwhid Sesay is presently nursing injury even as his club, Atlantis FC, continues to struggle on the Finnish league table.

The Finland-based striker, appeared on the sub-bench on Wednesday as he watched his club lose 2-0 to JJK Jyvaskyla.

Sesay who contacted Concord Sports via email said he has been on the sideline for over five matches as a result of the injury but hopes to be fit by next month.

"I'm presently suffering from an injury on my right leg and I have been out of action for over five games. But I'm going to play next month according to the doctor.

"The injury has affected me a little bit in the league. That is why I have only a goal to my credit so far. My presence on the substitute bench is just for formality sake as our team is having much injury problems. But I am doing my best to return to action very soon," he stated in the email.

On his team's performance in the league so far, the striker maintained that it has been a tough season for them but believes they will double up their effort before the league ends.

After four successive draws in a row, Atlantis FC suffered loss 2-0 to JJK Jyvaskyla with goals from Ady and Wusu in the 58th and 75th minute respectively.
