Women and Sports' Association (AMUD) will hold a march on 31 July, in Luanda, to celebrate African Women's Day, said Friday the commission's coordinator, Teresa Quarta.

The event, initially scheduled for 27 July, was postponed because the Luanda provincial government (GPL) has planed an activity of the kind for 31, also to mark the same date, said the official.

According to Teresa Quarta, the people who were supposed to take part in the two marches would be the same, that is why the event was rescheduled for the same day.

Aimed at sensitising the people at whole for general sports practice and mobilising women for the exercise of their civic rights, the event will gather MPs, government officials, politicians, African diplomatic representatives, personnel belonging to the armed forces and national police, technicians, athletes and referees.
