Angola: Expectant Women Informed on HIV Test

About 50 pregnant women on Friday were informed in Ondjiva city, southern Cunene province, about the importance of Hiv/Aids test during pregnancy.

This was during a talk promoted by the local hospital, Angop learnt.

Speaking to Angop, lecturer Teogonia da Conceição, said the talks aimed at informing pregnant women on sexually transmitted diseases and the importance of the Hiv/Aid test to prevent the transmission of the virus to the baby during pregnancy.

Cunene records a great number of people infected by Hiv virus.
