Luanda

The senior males football teams of Benfica de Luanda and Santos FC will face off this Friday afternoon at Luanda's Coqueiros stadium, for the opening of the 17th round of the national first division soccer championship, Girabola2008.

For the 16th round match, Santos FC drew 1-1 with Desportivos da Huíla, whilst Benfica de Luanda were beaten by Recreativo do Libolo by 1-2.

In the standings, Benfica de Luanda is in the sixth position with 22 points, whilst Santos FC is in the third with 29 points. Petro de Luanda leads the tournament with 35 points, while Benfica do Lubango is at the bottom of the table with nine points.
