Sumbe — About 171,000 children under the age of five were vaccinated against poliomyelitis in the coastal Kwanza Sul province, during the immunisation campaign that took place from July 25 to 27.
Speaking to ANGOP this Monday, the supervisor of the Broad Vaccination Programme (PAV), Israel Mussiri said that the results are temporary, taking into account the lack of communication with some of the districts.
The official said that his department is working hard in order to have all the vaccination data by next Wednesday.
He also said that the routine campaign will continue at all health units, centres and posts.
This campaign counted on the participation of over 1,000 people, amongst immunisers and supervisors, and it was carried out throughout Kwanza Sul province.
