Uganda: Shaggy is Back in Kampala

Brian Coutinho

26 July 2008

If you attended his concert at Munyonyo a few years back, you know exactly how wild Shaggy can become on stage. He has been in Uganda twice but still Ugandans cannot get tired of the man. If you are a fan of Shaggy, be ready to get wild again as the man will return come August 9, 2008.

He will be the guest artist at the finale of Pilsner lager Passa Passa promotion, which will take place at Lugogo Cricket Ground Kampala.

Shaggy is a Jamaican reggae singer who takes his nickname from Scooby-Doo's companion, a nickname given to him by his friends, during his teenage years in which his hair bore a similarity to the Scooby Doo character.

He is especially notable for his distinctive sub-baritone voice.
