Namibe — The third national campaign against poliomyelitis that took place on 25-27 July countrywide, resulted in the vaccination, in the south-western Namibe Province, of 67,135 children aged between zero to five, ANGOP got the information from the head of the provincial public health department, Franco Mufinda.
The campaign had as target the vaccination of 61, 172 children, but it surpassed the expectations thanks to the vaccinators teams and the parents who collaborated with the campaign.
The campaign in this province counted on the work of 138 teams, totalling 68 vaccinators spread by five districts of the province. In the second phase, the province vaccinated 61, 139 children.
