Recent Orlando Pirates signing Lebohang Mothibantwa is determined to make it two Telkom Charity Cup titles in a row this weekend.
"I cannot wait for the tournament to begin. It would be wonderful to win the tournament two times in a row," says the player who shone for Bloemfontein Celtic last season when Phunya Sele Sele won it at the expense of the Buccaneers.
The former Celtic player says that this will not come easy and adds that his new club must raise their game if they stand any chance.
The Buccaneers take on Platinum Stars in the first of the charity event's semifinals.
"Stars are a highly competitive side. They have played in Africa this season and will be determined to make up for their weekend loss. I predict a tough match."
Mothibantwa adds that he enjoys the pressure of playing for a big club like Pirates, whom he joined during the off-season.
"Wearing the Pirates' jersey, not mentioning playing for them, is in itself pressure, but I am enjoying it as it helps bring out the best in me. I want to use this as a platform to earn an overseas move, possibly to England, where my favourite club is Liverpool," he says.
