Eritrea: Mr. Ali Abdu Holds Talks With Syrian Officials in Damascus

Asmara — Mr. Ali Abdu, who is currently on a working visit to Syria, held talks with different officials focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the domain of mass media.

In a meeting held on 27 July with the Syrian Minister of Information, Dr. Muhsen Bilal, the two sides discussed joint cooperation programs, including coordination and the exchange of programs, as well as training and technical cooperation. Recalling Syrian support in the days of the Eritrean struggle for independence, Mr. Ali expressed Eritrea's desire to draw lessons from the Syrian experience, especially in the field of the mass media. Dr. Muhsen Bilal on his part expressed his country's readiness to cooperate with Eritrea in media work.
