Officials from four regions were due to meet their Burundian counterparts in Bukoba yesterday.

A statement issued by the regional administrative secretary's office said journalists would be allowed to attend the opening function.

Officials listed to attend the meeting come from former refugee host regions of Tabora, Kigoma, Rukwa and Kagera.

They will meet with administrators from Burundi provinces of Musing, Manama Burris, Manama and Cantus. Other Burundi provinces whose leaders were expected to attend the meeting at the Kipling Hotel in Bukoba come from Retina and Raying provinces.

When contacted for details, acting RSA Richard Kite declined to reveal the specific content of the meeting which he said will be in camera.
